About this site
Paper War is an independent publication about building, thinking, and living with intention in a technology-shaped world.
This is a place for reflection on work, creativity, ambition, and the quieter moments in between. Technology shows up often, but mostly as context for the work I do, the tools I use, and the tensions they create. You'll also find writing on music, coffee, cars, football (soccer), and whatever else helps me slow things down and make sense of it all.
The name comes from a Magnum, P.I. episode where Higgins accidentally wipes an expensive computer game loaned from T.C., and when Magnum erases part of Higgins' memoirs stored on the computer, a feud breaks out. What starts as practical jokes quickly develops into a bitter battle of wills over pride, memory, and control. It stuck because it captures a familiar tension between progress and meaning, efficiency and humanity, winning and understanding.
Paper War exists as both writing and video. Some topics work better in one format, some in both. You'll find the YouTube channel linked below.
